The Alliance provides support for medium term stays of internationally recognized guest scientists. The aim of this program is to foster high-level research exchanges and strategic co-operations with a focus on new and innovative topics that range from basic research to transfer and translation.

With the Visitor Program, the Alliance supports visits by internationally reowned research personalities in order to enrich the Alliance through scientific knowledge exchange and to establish or maintain new high-level research collaborations. The program is aimed at senior researchers who are experts in their field and who can advise and consult with Alliance researchers.

The added value of the guest stay for the wider Alliance community must be clearly evident and expressed in a special keynote lecture given by the guest. Visitors are expected to give at least one talk/ keynote lecture that is open to all Alliance members and/or the public.

Stays that are primarily intended to familiarize researchers with new techniques and for training purposes are not eligible for funding. Lab visits by Master or PhD students are also not funded.
