Level-up: Alliance research infrastructure scientists education (2RISE)
The Alliance promotes community and capacity building for research infrastructure scientists working in core facilities and technology platforms at Alliance institutions.
2RISE initiated the community and capacity building of the research infrastructure (RI) scientists working in core facilities and other platforms of five Alliance organisations – EMBL, DKFZ, Heidelberg University, Medical Faculty Mannheim and ZI. More than sixty Alliance RI scientists met during the four thematic days between September and December 2023, to explore the diversity of available technologies and services offered across the Alliance, learn about the new ways to manage RIs from external experts and to discuss challenges that need solving in order to deliver high-end services to all Alliance researchers.
The participants learnt about technologies and expertise available across the Alliance, and identified synergies and complementarities between their service offers. They discussed how to support researchers to choose the right platform for their needs and how to create pipelines between multiple platforms.
